Marc-I understand: no sleep, less sleep, thinking about this and that, and still no sleep. I understand. But, you got get back to us. Soon.

Just skimming through your past posts, you really seem to be having trouble sleeping. That's a real pain. Lack of sleep has a devastating impact on just about everything.

I see you've been to a doctor but have you been referred to a sleep disorder clinic for a complete workup?

Of course it make for interesting blogging on a subject not often discussed here. I enjoy your writing and your humour.

Gradually getting better. Interrupted eight and a half hours last night. Less medication. I did go to a sleep clinic last year. They thought I might have sleep apnea leading to heart problems. Negative. Fortunately no chest pain since then. Some people think you should not lie in bed for more than half an hour. I go by that. Not big on thinking anyway. My problem is extreme wakefullness, even when,or sometimes because of exhaustion.

I am already older. So what next?

Once upon a time, one of my grandaughters said to me with her wry little smile "Grampa, that is inappropriate." My response was "We have to grow old but we do not have to grow up."
