This is a daytime picture. Is it spring yet? Are we, the two of us, on the same continent? On the same time zone?
Never mind. I'm the one that's writing this at 2:00 a.m. Silly me, you've been up for a while too.
This tamarisk, or tamarix, (I prefer tamarisk), welcomes me to work every day. It is at its feet that I finally wake up and emerge from the chrysalis of sleep. I sleep all the way into the city, all the way through breakfast at Starbucks and all the way on the streetcar to the corner of the park, where the lovely tamarisk lives. The picture is a cheat. Mine is definitely not in flower yet. But spoon, spoon.
I believe google time is always West coast.
What a lovely picture and flowers! It's on my desktop right now. Feel like the spring is waving hand to me.
