Duly got to the club. Much more crowded than on Sundays, but the blaring musak was almost pleasant. The shower is , I realised, particularly pleasant because the water comes out well above my head, whereas, at home, the nozzle is just above my shoulder, or seems that way. There was less steam than usual and I stayed in for about six minutes. Also the sauna was cooler.

There is a fairly common mantra, which I use when I see some thing, (or person), particularly lovely. It came spontaneously to my mind when I saw tonight's sunset through racing clouds. Do not theists praise the Lord for such beauty? What really is the difference between what we are doing?

Ah, the details that make life so much more enjoyable, like shower heads that you can fully stand under, places where you can wash your feet easily, chairs that comfort you...

I have the opposite problem. Everything is too tall for me. I can't reach the shower head to adjust its directional flow once my husband, who is over six feet tall, has adjusted it for his comfort. Oh, what to do.

Every time I hit my now bald head I curse "Oh this world is made for midgets". Some cars have memory of different seat positions. So when you get in you just press a button for your own settings. Couln't "they" do the same for showers?

I'm also a shortie and sometimes have to ask people in supermarkets to reach the top shelf for me. Everything should be adjustable these days - including sliding shelves

When I was young, libraries had moveable three steps with a pole to hold on to. I haven't seen one for years. I suppose library boards are scared that someone would fall off and sue.
