FF: no. Just all part of the same Eastman Kodak collection. I think Edwin, also an actor, was the assassin's brother, but I have not researched it. Lynette. Yes, but witty to the end. Comment about wallpaper attributed to him. Sounds likely. I think he dressed like an eccentric dandy even by the standards of his time.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment -- and I really appreciate the link you gave me -- I'll give you a link on mine -- your blog is exceptionally interesting... The book list on your profile is also very interesting -- just about wore me out reading it...
And the way my header works is that it becomes the "featured" photo for the following day -- so my header changes each day -- I think they call that a "teaser" in the advertising world...
But, o.k., I'll tell you what it is -- it's a cross-section of one of the main cables on the Golden Gate Bridge... I'll have all the details tomorrow (December 11)...
Thanks again, and I look forward to following your blog!
You mean it's where the cables end? Still fascinates me as, as with our old toy, the bunching does not quite produce a uniform shaping. There seem to be rifts and gaps.
As far as my book list goes... I read very slowly and get tired easily. If I persist with a book, it is most often because I like it a lot. Thus, my book list is almost only of all the books I have finished!

Hi there Marc. Do we have to guess the connection?
I've always been fascinated with Oscar Wilde. Such a great wit...such an unjust and tragic end.

Fascinating photos. You know, I saw Sherman's smoking jacket in the Civil War Museum in Philadelphia and it was so incredibly tiny!
