I suspect that richer Omani men simply wear new ones when they get dirty; or there is a whole brigade of washer people to wash the darn things and keeep them neatly ironned. <BR/><BR/>I suspect it is something Arab and untipical of Europeans that status is defined not so much by rich clothing, as by how much it costs to maintain quite simple cloth.<BR/><BR/>The fabulous thing about the jalaba is that it is cool in warm weather and warm in cool. It is also quite elegant and very comfortable.
